Interventional Neuroradiology

This is the branch of radiology that deals with the endovascular treatment of intracranial diseases.

These procedures are mainly defined as follows:

The femoral artery is accessed through catheters that have the task of engaging the aortic arch and subsequently the epiaortic vessels, until they reach the site to be treated.

Once the target is reached, other devices such as microcoils, stents or embolizing agents are inserted, depending on the pathology.
